Rodeo raucous

I am so totally embarrassed of the Legislature in the state of Missouri for the bill they just passed for the right to have a rodeo. That is pathetic. That is just plain sad and pathetic. Why would they need to pass such a stupid bill? These men act like seventh- graders. It's pitiful. They don't even act like adults.

Spring is here

Spring is coming. The days are getting longer, and the sun is warmer. The trees are starting to bud. Spring is coming, and we did not cause it. We can't stop it. Climate changes all by itself.

Melaina's Playland

I'd like to comment on (Melaina's Magical Playland) in Cape County Park. We were over there Saturday with my granddaughter, and it was wonderful. It's the best playground I have ever seen. It has a soft floor so the kids won't get hurt if they fall. My granddaughter just ran crazy. She had a time out there. We were out there three hours. I wanted to buy a brick and donate some money to them. If you want to donate a brick, it's magicalplayland.org -- if you want to buy a brick and help them with the cost. It's a wonderful playground. Everybody should run out and go out there and watch the kids play.

Obama and Russia

I want to comment about the comments the president made before the last election. He told the Russian ambassador that after the election he could be more flexible and easier to get along with. Well, you see what's happened? I don't know what the next country's going to be, but the Russians are going to keep pushing. And we could be heading toward a world war. This reminds me of Jimmy Carter, when Carter was so weak and didn't back the Shah of Iran. Basically, by not supporting the Shah, he supported Khomeini and all these Muslim fundamentalists that supported Iran. Now, this deal with Crimea, the Russians see a weak president. And that's what gets you in wars.

Mail service is poor

I hate the changes that were done to the mail system. Now instead of mail getting from Cape to Jackson in one or two days, I have to wait seven to 10 days. It's so bad that I'm am having to add in warning on my invoice stating to allow for seven to 10 days for delivery on local business.
