I have been in this area for a while, and I'm finally beginning to figure a few things out. You have to pay the corporate executives exorbitant salaries so we retain the top talent, but apparently we can get better teachers by paying them less. It's perfectly fine to be "pro-life" and also be pro-war and pro-death penalty. ...

I have been in this area for a while, and I'm finally beginning to figure a few things out. You have to pay the corporate executives exorbitant salaries so we retain the top talent, but apparently we can get better teachers by paying them less. It's perfectly fine to be "pro-life" and also be pro-war and pro-death penalty. You should "love the sinner but hate the sin," but it's not possible to support the troops and not the war. We don't want government intrusion in our lives, but it's a good idea to vote for a smoking ban on someone's private property.

I agree with David Limbaugh that reforms in entitlement spending need to be made, and I encourage Republicans in Congress to take the lead in getting this done.

Park ideas

How about setting up the Capaha Pool area as a senior visiting spot? Put in small tables with checkers and chess boards painted on top. Allow one or two food vendors. Other parks are given good bathrooms. Why not Capaha? Use volunteers for planting flowers.
