We are all sinners
I HAVE a comment about the Christian-homosexual marriage-human rights debate. We all know that the Bible says many things. The part about homosexual behavior being an abomination to God always comes up. I believe it. And Christ said, "He who is without sin, cast the first stone." This I also believe. I can't endorse homosexual behavior, but I must love homosexual sinners equally with all sinners. And we are all sinners.
Ignoring taxpayers
WE GOT snookered once more. Part of the financing for the Cardinals' new baseball park will come from $30.4 million in tax credits -- in other words, a tax subsidy from Missourians. On top of that, the supposedly financially beleaguered Missouri Department of Transportation is kicking in $12.3 million of taxpayer money. I'm tired of getting the shaft and having the will of the voters denied. Indeed, I've dusted off a copy of a classic by the Who and am playing it right now. I hope the most meaningful and relevant of the lyrics for Missouri voters are, "We won't get fooled again!" Sing along with me and vote along with me as well. Throw all the bums out.
