If you are calling and you really want to talk to us, take "private caller," "unknown caller," "Cape Girardeau," or the name of any city or state off the screen. If you can't tell us who you are, we do not answer our phone. We have been fooled into doing it, and it's some bunch of bull from people we don't want to talk to about things we don't want or answer questions that is none of their concern. ...

If you are calling and you really want to talk to us, take "private caller," "unknown caller," "Cape Girardeau," or the name of any city or state off the screen. If you can't tell us who you are, we do not answer our phone. We have been fooled into doing it, and it's some bunch of bull from people we don't want to talk to about things we don't want or answer questions that is none of their concern. Why do you have to hide who you are? We have many friends who are doing the same thing. So save your dialing fingers.
Ferguson parents
Yes, I just read an article in another magazine about how they're going after the juveniles up there in Ferguson and going to charge the parents. Remember, we got the same thing here? If you miss school, the parents can be picked up for the kids missing school and be fined.

Albino deer
I read in the news about a rare white rhino dying in a zoo. It died of old age. Very rare species. I couldn't help thinking about the albino buck that died. I know that's not a separate species. But we're not going to forget that any time soon, what was done to our community through the selfishness of one person, trying to cast a pall over certain aspects of the season.
