Obama closed it

I'd like to comment on the Jackson School District canceling its field trip to a park because the government closed it down. Remember, when you vote in the next election, it was Barack Obama who closed it down.

Republicans should pay

I think the Republican Party should pay back the government the $24 billion it cost for the shutdown, because it accomplished absolutely nothing.

Spite and wrong

From this point forward, it will be known as the Obama Spite House rather than White House. I say this because of the spiteful behavior the administration is using as it closes public property.

Divisive legacy

The Obama legacy will be to leave a country far more divided than it has ever been. Thank you, President Obama, for pointing out our differences and playing them up for your political gain.

Obamacare view

Numerous supporters of Obamacare have proclaimed it won't cost any more, you can keep your insurance, it won't affect anyone who already has insurance, etc. What you don't understand is that the insurance companies have a window of opportunity to raise rates before Obamacare takes full effect, and they are doing so vigorously. I work for a small company that has more than 50 but fewer than 100 employees. The cost of the company's insurance coverage for employees was going to go up more than 50 percent at renewal, so the company had no choice but to reduce coverage. But the premiums to everyone still went up. This is happening everywhere as Obama "spreads the wealth." You have a happy view of what Obamacare is and does, but your view is unrealistic.

Pre-existing

Are people really so dense that they think pre-existing-conditions coverage is a good thing? Would it make sense to force the same policy for car insurance? Would you buy car insurance if you could simply wait until you total your car and it still be covered?
