We dilly dallied far too long and it's very depressing. Cape could have had energy-saving solar panels but fiddled while Ameren's pot of gold ran out and our city couldn't take advantage of a rebate, in large part because it took far too long to put out what became an incomprehensible, thick, book-length Request For Proposal (RFP). What a sad, sad commentary for what would have been a win-win scenario for all citizens. I thought excessive bureaucratic snafus were exclusively characteristic of Washington; but it has evidently filtered all the way down to the community where the river tells a thousand tales.

Benghazi, Obama

It is amazing all the attention the media is focusing on the Gov. Christie traffic probe, while they sweep everything they could under the rug about holding Mr. Obama responsible for not addressing the cries for help sent by those Americans in Benghazi. The liberal media is such a sorry excuse for journalism. How will they spin the new report that those American lives could have been saved in Benghazi but Obama failed to act appropriately?

Employment

One reason people can continue to draw unemployment benefits for unreasonable amounts of time has to do with the reality that the person may actually report to a business, but all they really want is the signature on the form that states they're seeking employment. They get their signature and they continue drawing unemployment checks. There's no genuine pride in working the system. For goodness sake, at least show up clean, neat, eyes wide open and a genuine desire to be gainfully employed.

I believe if Hillary Clinton runs for president, the best person to beat her will be Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin for president.
