To the editor: Paul Zmolek's letter regarding the Drury lawsuits over the River Campus, "Good citizens accept results and move on," made a good point. Now, change "citizens" to "politicians." Then think of all the things that are repeatedly up for vote (tax increases, gun control) that have been voted down and apply the phrase "they fought the good fight, ... ...

To the editor:

Paul Zmolek's letter regarding the Drury lawsuits over the River Campus, "Good citizens accept results and move on," made a good point. Now, change "citizens" to "politicians." Then think of all the things that are repeatedly up for vote (tax increases, gun control) that have been voted down and apply the phrase "they fought the good fight, ... lost ... need to accept the results." There should be a law: If voters turn down an issue once, or even twice, that issue cannot be brought up again for at least three years.
