LETTERS: THINK BEFORE VOTING FOR REPUBLICANS

To the editor:

For the past 60 years, most successful businesses, jobs and farms have been created in the 8th District under a Democratic Congress and a Democratic president. In the last two years, the Republicans trashed 50 years of farm legislation. To my friends who are planing to vote Republican in the Nov. 3 election, you are betting your jobs, your businesses and your farms, and you are actually betting the ranch that your fathers and grandfathers were wrong about the Republicans. Think about what the Republicans have done in the last two years to you, not for you, with their Contract With America and their Freedom to Farm Act.
