LETTERS: LET'S SEE COVERAGE OF DECENT CANDIDATES

To the editor:

Once again the Republican Party is distinguishing itself as a rudderless ship. George Bush is another character flawed politician, not much different from Clinton and Gore. His only distinction is being slightly less hypocritical, dishonest, and immoral than the current office holder. Unfortunately that has been the litmus test for office seekers and isn't that a shame. It seems we are stuck with self-serving politicians who proliferate in both parties and are equally noxious. It would be nice if we could see some reporting on the candidates who don't have the character flaws, are willing to state a position, and who just might mean what they say.TOM GERBERCape Girardeau
