To the editor:

I enjoyed the Nov. 20 Associated Press article by Karin Laub on the Luke 2:25 inscription very much. I would encourage the Southeast Missourian to continue to share such discoveries with us. I would make one correction to the article, however. The account of the death of James mentioned in the article is not found in the Bible but in the account of Hegesippus quoted by Eusebius in his "Church History." A slightly different account is given by Josephus in his "Antiquities." There is no account of the death of James in Scripture.
