My wife often accuses me of living in the past. Perhaps it is because I have such great memories of my time as a student at Jackson High School. After graduation I left to go to college and to pursue my career as an educator. After retirement I returned to find the same excellent school district that had prepared me for my future. Take a moment to think back to your time in high school. During the 1950s the voters approved the building of facilities which stand to this day. This gave us the opportunities and space for the best education possible.

Today these buildings are occupied by our grandchildren. They deserve the best just as we did. It is astounding to me the varied skills and talents these young people have. Each time I attend an activity which focuses on the achievements of these young people, I am amazed at their pride in their school and educational program. We need to return the favor and follow what was done for us. Our votes can go a long way in making the facilities top-notch for these young students.

We enjoyed attending Jackson High School. I am asking for your support on Nov. 2 in voting for this very important bond issue. Continued support of our schools only enhances our community. Thank you for your vote.
