In response to James Nall's letter, "Both parties favor central planning through warfare,": I must say that I am in complete agreement. It is said that "War is the health of the state." I believe this is true. I also believe that the "American state" does not represent the people. This is because the motivating factors in Washington are power, control and dominance. The individual in America has been lost to an ideology that we need a ruling class to support us. This is a recipe for disaster. The federal government is way out of control. Downsize it and return it to the original constitutional limits. The future of our republic depends on it.
