On Feb. 9 about 300 high school FBLA students converged at the University Center at Southeast Missouri State to hold their District 15 competitions. These Future Business Leaders of America represented 13 schools from the Cape Girardeau, Scott and Bollinger County area.

They and their advisers had put in a lot of time and effort preparing for the over 50 contests covering everything from accounting to digital video, business communication to business ethics, economics to spreadsheet and everything in between. With all their hard work, this event still could not have happened without the 70-plus judges that volunteered for the event.

A huge thank you goes out to these community members, retired teachers and college students who give of their time year after year to judge our events and give feedback to our students. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough.
