I"m asking for your vote on Aug. 7, 2018, in the Republican primary, to be the next Prosecuting Attorney of Cape Girardeau County. I may not be the hometown boy, but I've chosen to raise my family in our community for the last six years. I also look at my experiences elsewhere as a positive; I bring fresh ideas to improve the office. First, if elected, I'm not going to worry with won-loss records; we will fight for victims and support law enforcement and try the tough cases. Second, I will propose a grand jury to the chief judge; grand juries are more efficient, they protect vulnerable victims, and keep our police on the streets protecting us and each other instead of wasting time sitting in the courthouse. Third, we will be transparent by working with local media to let our community know what's happening in the courthouse. Finally, gun crimes will be punished harder than ever before. These are just a few changes I will bring to the office if elected. Experience matters.
