I recently read the comments of Dr. Tony Kern about the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I agree wholeheartedly with him.

I lived in Cuba for more than a year during Fidel Castro's revolution against President Batista. Make no mistake about it, Castro was a "ferocious, intelligent and dedicated adversary." He loved to terrorize the people of Cuba. He was committed to winning. I see much of Castro's method being employed by these 21st century terrorists.

May we as American citizens look to the Lord daily in his Word and fervent prayer to receive from him the strength and the resolve to win.

David said years ago: "Blessed be the Lord my Rock, ... my high tower and deliverer, my shield and the One in Whom I take refuge." Psalm 144: 1-2.

The Lord, who has delivered us sinners from sin, death, Satan and hell by the holy life, the innocent suffering and death of Jesus Christ and his glorious resurrection from the dead, is the one to whom we look daily for his forgiveness as we confess, repent of and beg for his forgiveness for all our sins of pride, arrogance, materialism, greed, selfishness and the like. He is the one who alone can bring us victory over these terrorists and eternal victory in heaven.
