Thank you for the extensive coverage of the Jackson Heritage Association art contest. It means a great deal to the students to have their art and effort recognized by the public.
The art contest article spoke of the work the association has had to do to keep the Oliver House Museum attractive and safe. The crumbling sidewalk and porch were replaced by Fronabarger Concreters. Roofers Mart provided two columns for the lower porch that were installed by Hobeck Siding. It is only through the kindness and generosity of individuals and businesses in the area that our organization is able to maintain the Oliver House Museum.
Again, I wish to thank the Southeast Missourian and businesses above for helping keep history alive. We invite everyone to visit the Jackson Heritage Association Facebook page and our new website at jacksonpast.com.
Sincerely,
CATHERINE STOVERINK, archivist, Jackson Heritage Association, Jackson
