To the editor:

The Perry County School District's students, staff, administration and board of education are very appreciative of the community's support of the 50-cent levy increase.

We would like to thank all the individuals and groups who worked so hard on behalf of the students and staff. Their efforts helped to raise public awareness of the challenges facing the district. Their voices were heard by many and proved to be a source of strength this district desperately needed. We are very grateful for their efforts.

We would also like to recognize and thank the students and parents for their help. The district is proud of the manner in which they became involved in helping to inform the community of the district's needs. We believe their efforts made a difference.
