ShopKo is soon slated to fill the West Park Mall space vacated by Venture. And now comes the good news that the mall is planning to build space for a fourth anchor store. The Cape Girardeau Planning and Zoning Commission gave its approval last week.

The plans, which still require approval from the City Council, are yet another example of the city's importance to the region it serves.
