Highway 74 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform routine inspection of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge. Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through March 24 on the right eastbound lanes going toward Illinois. Work will then switch to the right westbound lane coming from Illinois to Missouri in the afternoon of March 24 and March 25.
