Any veteran wishing to receive an updated COVID-19 or other vaccinations may do so the same day, but the VA recommends veterans get their flu shots first, then get their additional vaccines at their primary care provider, according to a news release issued by the VA.

There is no cost for the flu vaccinations for veterans, who are asked to bring their VA health care identification cards with them to the clinics.
