He came to walk the Calvary's road
the only man for such a load.
He came a Jew, God's chosen race,
but from God's plan they turned their face.
His mind as sharp as broken glass,
his love as deep as a mountain pass.
Some called him savior, king and friend,
and gave their life and all for him.
But there were those who's hate was strong,
they'd make him pay right or wrong.
They should have placed him on a throne,
and made his wants and wishes known.
Instead they placed him on a cross,
our grace was bought at a tragic cost.
Then three days later came the news,
that conquered Satan and his crew.
Christ had risen from the grave,
a final feat for men to save.
