How merciful you were that day

to give us a provision,

That if we would accept Jesus,

our sins would all be forgiven.

How proud you must have been,

when Jesus was born.

To Virgin Mary,

in that humble, little barn.

I know you burst with love,

when Jesus came to John,

and was baptized, not because of sin,

but because he was your beloved son.

His only mission here on earth,

was to do his Fathers will.

To tell everyone of Gods Kingdom,

to preach the word and to cure all ills.

His compassion was so great,

to all those who followed him.

He could preach hours at a time,

and he would feed all of them.

He knew what was before him,

as he knelt before you and prayed.

He knew he had to do your will,

but he still wished there was another way.

And when they took him to the King,

and passed judgment upon him.

The King couldn't find any fault,

nor could he find any sin.

But the crowd yelled for him to be crucified,

and they stript him of his clothes.

They beat and spit on him.,

and nailed him to the cross to die.

Oh the pain you must have bore,

each time they drove a nail in his hands.

And how it must have hurt you to see,

Them pierce his side with a sword.

Every time I read or hear, how Jesus died for us,

I can't understand how people

cannot praise you and repent their sins,

and come into your love.
