POETRY CORNER: BOB AND GENEVA KING

If you hear a fiddle, and it's sounding sweet

it's probably Bob; he's pretty neat.

With notes so true, and coming fast.

This old boy has quite a past.

When he takes a fiddle in his hand,

you know pretty quick that he's the "man."

He can play them fast or play them slow,

Every old song you happen to know.

When it comes to rhythm, she's the best,

Geneva King can pass the test.

She backs him up with notes so strong,

With hands that fly on every song.

She breaks in then to play the lead,

And she don't need no notes to read.

She can play your song in any key,

Takes lots of talent if you ask me.

They're quite a pair, these friends of mine,

I just think they're mighty fine.
