FROM THE PULPIT: WHO WANTS TO JUDGE?

It seems we are inundated with news and daily articles (especially now that it's election time) with strong judgmental statements. Although some appear to have good background and strong points with evidence to back their comments up, you and I can clearly see the motive is wrong.

Sometime ago -- long ago -- I was caught up in a frenzy over a pastor's conduct that was highly publicized and strongly condemned. It seemed right for me to "join the bandwagon" and "get on board" with the majority that insisted I take a stand. However, I could see no good coming from this situation and asked to be left alone. I was totally uncomfortable with throwing stones while living in a glass house.

Although I seek for wisdom and guidance often, it seems to come rather slowly. But this one think I know, we will all stand before God's judgment seat and give account of ourselves to God.

Romans 14:10-12. The advice of verse 13 I pass along to you is: Therefore, let us stop passing judgment on one another.

Please, if you find it easy to join in the stoning crowd so to speak, be careful for you too, my friend, will have to give account of your actions.
