A new pharmacy will open next month in the Healing Arts Center, 3250 Gordonville Road.
The Healing Arts Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy, will honor all major insurance cards and will fill prescriptions from all area physicians.
Jeff Smith will manage the pharmacy. Smith, a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Pharmacy School, has been pharmacy manager at Kmart for 17 years. He is a member of the national, state and county pharmacist associations.
The new pharmacy will have three registered pharmacists, three pharmacy technicians and an office assistant.
The new pharmacy will offer a number of services -- drive-up and over-the-counter medications -- and respiratory therapy equipment and supplies for home use.
The pharmacy's site will allow patients of physicians in the Healing Arts Center the convenience of having their prescriptions filled in one stop, said Smith.
Pharmacy hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
