MEMO: DELTA MAN WINNER IN CORN CONTEST

Cox farms of Delta, Mo. placed first in the state in the AA Ridge Till Non Irrigated Class in the 2000 National Corn Yield Contest, sponsored by the national Corn Growers Association.

Matt Cox, operator of Cox Farms, accepted his award during an awards ceremony held in San Antonio, Tex.

Cox was one of more than 500 state winners among more than 3,500 entrants nationwide. Cox used Pioneer 3335. The winning yield was 219.9 bushels an acre.
