Matt Cox, operator of Cox Farms, accepted his award during an awards ceremony held in San Antonio, Tex.

Cox was one of more than 500 state winners among more than 3,500 entrants nationwide. Cox used Pioneer 3335. The winning yield was 219.9 bushels an acre.
