Jim Simpson has been named manager of the Jackson Bowling Lanes and is in training until he takes over Aug. 1.
Simpson, a two-year member of the Professional Bowlers Association, has been involved in bowling 15 years and has conducted a number of bowling tournaments.
He will replace Rick Brown, Jackson Bowling Lanes manager for 16 years.
The Jackson Lanes will undergo an upgrade this year with new machines and pin-spotters.
