Wal-Mart reported strong earnings for the May-June-July quarter.
Wal-Mart had net income of $706 million, or 31 cents a share, up from the $633 million, or 28 cents a share, during the same quarter in 1995.
Sales for the quarter were reported at $25.6 billion, up from $22.7 billion during the same period a year ago.
