BUSINESS MEMO: PROPANE ACQUISITION

Ferrellgas Partner, L.P., headquartered in Liberty, has acquired Foothill Propane Inc. of Georgetown, Calif.

The acquisition adds about 2,500 customers and nearly 1.5 million gallons to the company's annual retail sales. It is Ferrellgas' 49th acquisition since the company went public in 1994.

Ferrellgas is the nation's second-largest retail propane marketer, serving about 800,000 customers in 45 states, including Cape Girardeau and the Southeast Missouri area.
