BUSINESS MEMO: PROPANE ACQUISITION

Ferrellgas Partners, L.P., headquartered at Liberty, Mo., has acquired MJR Propane Inc., of Birch River, W. V.

The acquisition, the 47th for Ferrellgas since the company went public in 1994, brings Ferrellgas approximately 2,500 customers and adds more than 1.5 million gallons to the company's annual retail sales.

Ferrellgas is the second-largest retail propane marketer in the United States, serving more than 800,000 customers in 45 states, including Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri.
