Wanted: an economic development coordinator.
The Stoddard County Industrial Development Authority has approved a $110,000 budget for an economic development office.
The new office was approved this month by the county's IDA office. Also put in place by IDA president Bill Alein is a search committee, charged with drafting the final job description and a search for job candidates.
The new position is aimed at helping communities keep existing jobs and attract new ones.
