BUSINESS MEMO: ALTERNATIVE LIVESTOCK

Representatives of the Greater Missouri Ostrich Association (GMOA) will discuss raising ostriches as alternative livestock during a special workshop at Poplar Bluff Oct. 12.

Larry Brewe of Marshasville, Mo., president of the GMOA, will headline the seminar, to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Highway 67 in Poplar Bluff.

"The event is for anyone interested in raising ostriches," said Karen Dudenhoeffer, a director of the association.
