The nation's advertising spending is expected to climb 9.4 percent this year, the biggest increase in 16 years, an industry forecaster said Tuesday in revising his growth estimates upward.
Veteran ad spending tracker Robert Coen said the economy's continued resilience and strong advertiser demand that is pushing up prices for network TV commercials prompted him to boost his December forecast of 8.3 percent growth.
