BUSINESS MEMO: A BUSINESS MERGER

SALT LAKE CITY -- Huntsman Corp. plans to acquire Amoco Chemical Corp.'s polystyrene business, a move that Huntsman says will make it the largest polystyrene manufacturer in North America.

Huntsman spokesman Don H. Olsen said the deal is expected to close by the end of November. Terms were not disclosed.

The planned acquisition includes two polystyrene manufacturing facilities in Joliet and Willow Springs, Ill., which have a combined employment of 70 people.
