The St. Louis Rams have signed offensive tackle Alex Barron, their top draft choice, to a five-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
As a senior at Florida State, Barron was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy, which recognizes the country's top collegiate offensive lineman.
Rams coach Mike Martz told KSDK-TV that he does not expect Barron to be a starter by the beginning of the season.
