ST. LOUIS -- The Jackson Indians exploded for 35 second-half points as they turned a tight football game into a 42-6 rout of Sumner Friday night at Gateway Tech.
Mario Whitney and Joe Walter each scored three touchdowns as Jackson improved to 2-0 on the season.
Jackson held a slim 7-0 lead at haltime before breaking the game open in the second half.
No further game details were available.
Jackson returns to action next Friday night when Perryville (0-2) visits.
