Eagle Ridge Christian boys basketball team opened the season on a winning note Saturday, defeating Unity Christian 53-38.
Kris Dodson scored a game-high 20 points for Eagle Ridge while teammate Toby Shreve added 11.
Sam Arnone paced Unity Christian with 12 points.
Eagle Ridge led throughout, holding a 16-9 advantage after one quarter and a 30-22 edge at halftime. Eagle Ridge took a commanding 44-28 lead into the fourth quarter.
Eagle Ridge's girls were credited with a forfeit victory over Unity.
