The Cape Girardeau American Legion junior baseball team split a doubleheader with visiting Jackson on Tuesday night.

Brett Heischimdt had two hits and was the winning pitcher in a 7-6 win in the opener. Abe Dirnberger, Luke Moll and Kory Kitchen added two hits apiece for Cape (8-3).

In game two Alex Shell had three hits but Cape fell 10-2. Moll added two hits for Cape. Chris Brotherton was the losing pitcher.
