Technology can be a great thing, but it's also a vehicle some use for shady purposes -- including stalking.
A recent story by reporter Emily Priddy highlighted the problem of stalking. According to a report from 2012, the U.S. Department of Justice estimated 3.3 million adults in this country had been stalked within the year.
The story pointed to social media, mobile GPS tracking and other online tools being used by stalkers. Regardless of the method, stalking is frightening. As Molly Woeltje, education outreach coordinator for Safe House for Women, said, it's about control over another person. But there are things people can do to help prevent it.
