To the editor: Missouri is expecting at least $50 million from the tobacco companies to be issued to various agencies to help balance their budgets. In the first place, the money was to be used for medical services and prescription medicines and to assist those in need to be taken in and cared for by nursing homes...

Missouri is expecting at least $50 million from the tobacco companies to be issued to various agencies to help balance their budgets. In the first place, the money was to be used for medical services and prescription medicines and to assist those in need to be taken in and cared for by nursing homes.

Now they are asking the voters to approve another tax on top of the current tax for tobacco products, knowing that most of the money will be dished out to other agencies.
