Time to become squeaky wheel

I happen to be concerned and opinionated about the bailout and "stimulus" that our senators and representatives in Washington have put upon the country. I see commentary in Speak Out, on the Web and in the news that reflect my views.

It is time to quit sitting on our convictions and raise our collective voice. I just found out about The New American Tea Party. If you don't know, look it up on the Web. Instead of crying in our beer, we should do something. Be the squeaky wheel that needs the grease.

Like Rambo said, "I just want my country to love me as much as I love it."

Lady Liberty is in her death throes:

Give me your greedy, your connivers,

Your huddled crooks yearning to plunder,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the irresponsible, tempest-tossed to me.
