To the Editor:
A few days ago it was brought to my attention that our community newspaper was publishing a comic strip called "For Better Or Worse" and that the story line for this strip is based on homosexuality. I was simply crushed to think that children of this community could pick up our daily paper and read the "funnies" and get the idea that homosexuality is just another lifestyle.
It most definitely is not just another lifestyle. It is wrong as wrong can be. How do I know this, you might ask. The Bible says so. And I believe the Bible.
It was wrong when the Bible was written, and it is still wrong today, because God has not changed.
If this kind of material has to be in the paper, it should be put on the editorial page instead of the comic section. Impressionalbe young minds do not need to be able to read this kind of garbage.
For years, I have sat back and said, "Why doesn't somebody stop all this immoral nonsense from happening?" Well, I now realize that I somebody and am finally going to start speaking out loud and long, and I will not give up the battle.
