The Wilson family would like to express its gratitude and thanks to all who attended the dedication of the Richard G. Wilson Processing and Distribution Facility in Cape Girardeau.

We would like to thank Tony Carroll, who initiated the petition, and U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, who successfully lobbied Congress in renaming the U.S. Postal Service facility.

Thank you to Mayor Jay Knudtson of Cape Girardeau, U.S. Sen. Christopher Bond, U.S. Sen. Jim Talent, their representatives and all of the other dignitaries.

The family also would like to thank all of the postal employees for their support in renaming the building.

A thank you is extended to the Central High School choir for its beautiful patriotic music.

Thank you to the 187th Airborne Regimental Color Guard for presenting the color and representing Richard Wilson's military unit from Fort Campbell, Ky.

Our family will forever be thankful to all who participated in the dedication.
