To the editor:
The Festival of Lights Auto Tour is an annual event that has been going on for many years. It is located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Redman Creek campground at Wappapello Lake. It runs on weekends from Thanksgiving to Christmas and is also open the week before and during Christmas. Local businesses, clubs, churches and individuals come together to help the Wappapello Lions Club decorate for the tour of Christmas lights. The Lions host the tour as an appreciation to our community as well as the surrounding communities for their efforts during the year.
The Wappapello Lions Club wants to take the time to thank everyone who attended the festival of lights or who may have helped in any way with the 2005 tour. It was a great success. The Lions want to welcome everyone back next year, same place, same time. Remember, the tour is hosted for you.
SARAH ARMSTRONG, Second Vice President, Wappapello Lions Club, Wappapello, Mo.
