Support fire tax on ballot

Cape Girardeau's Fire Department is a team of professionals, dedicated to protecting the quality of life and economic stability of our community in the most effective, efficient, safest manner possible.

As a proud citizen of Cape Girardeau, I support the extension of the fire tax. Our Cape Girardeau Fire Department does far more than responding to fires.

They serve as a first responder of all rescues, including hazardous material releases and man-made disasters. Consider the efficiencies of having all of these services provided by one agency, cross-trained in multiple services, equipment and facilities.

I encourage you to vote "yes" on Fire Tax 2, so Cape Girardeau will continue as a great place to visit, play, work, live and raise a family.
