My grandson, Dalton Myers, played for the SEMO Wolf Pack team. The team received the silver medal for the tournament.

Every athlete who participated and every team won.

It was a joy to spend a day watching basketball where the coaches weren't yelling from the sidelines and the players gave the best they had without trash talk or rude play, just determination to play at the best level they knew.

The referees called few fouls. A good time was had by everyone.

A big thank you to the Special Olympics teams, coaches and helpers, and to the Osage Community Centre for hosting this event.

I look forward to attending the next game.
