I WOULD like to express appreciation to Union Electric for landscaping in front of its fence in the 1600 block of Independence. And I would like to express my delight that Union Electric preserved the two rows of beautiful trees in the 1700 block.
THANK YOU for allowing me this opportunity. I'm a regular patient at Dr. Sacha, an allergy doctor at Doctor's Park. I never have to wait for Random Acts of Kindness Week. Being a regular visitor there, it's very evident that it goes on every day of the week, but last week I happened to have a doctor's appointment, and I inadvertently left my car lights on and it didn't take very long until my battery went dead. Dr. Sacha and his nurse, Shelby Mayberry, came to my rescue with cables and a van and helped to start my car in a very short time. The entire staff there always goes out of its way to help someone. I have seen it every day that I've been out there over the period of years. And if you get allergy shots every week, believe me, it's very evident, you can see it. And no, I certainly didn't have to wait so long for my appointment when my battery went dead. We were just all having lunch together in there. They're just wonder people, and I want thank them very much.
I WOULD like to thank my letter carrier who delivers mail in the 2700 block of Bloomfield Road. On Friday, she took time out to get my trash cans out of the street and put them up for me, even the lids. I believe her name is Linda Essner. Thank you for your act of kindness.
I WOULD just like to say thank you to CAYSA and the boys and their families involved in the 5th-6th grade playoff games Monday night for second place. I just wanted to say everybody really showed good sportsmanship. Everybody was cheering for everybody else. What I really found rewarding was the fact that CAYSA went out of its way and made sure that since there were three teams tied for second place and originally there was only supposed to first, second and third place trophies, they went ahead and got a trophy for the fourth-place team. I really think all deserved it, and I think CAYSA and everybody involved with those games Monday night should really be proud of themselves and what they did this year with those kids.
