These are family values?

LET'S HEAR it for the Republicans. Our future speaker, Mr. Livingston, was going to be outed by the media for up to four different affairs during his marriage, so he came out and told his Republican constituents, and his colleagues gave him a standing ovation. So much for family values.

Clean up Congress first

INSTEAD OF worrying so much about impeaching the president, why don't we clean up the Senate and Congress?

Censure means little

CENSURE MEANS simply we disagree with you. The minority leader on the impeachment committee, Barney Frank, the homosexual Democrat from Massachusetts, was censured by the House for paying tickets for his house guests who were running a male sex dating service out of his house. Mr. Frank was elected another term in Congress, so censure is no punishment.

People: Vote for removal

I WOULD just like to say that we, the people, need to stand up. It these people in Congress can vote the president out, then we should be able to vote them out because we don't like them. They're the ones who work for us. We pay their salaries. We should be able to vote them out just like that.

A standing ovation

SO MR. Livingston decides to make known his adulterous affairs because he was going to be found out which means he has deceived his constituents for year. His punishment, a standing ovation. Thank you, Mr. Hustler.

Having your say

THE CLINTON haters, Rush Limbaugh and the sick right-wingers, bigots and the Southeast Missourian and Mr. Rust -- they all deserve one another. The only reason I read that paper is to find out if any of my friends passed away and if I have to look for something in the want ads. I only wish there was another newspaper here. I'm sorry I have to spend money for it then. Just thought I'd called Speak Out and tell them what I think of them.

No vote for Republicans

I WOULD just like to say that I would not vote for a Republican if they were the only ones running for office because of the way they have done President Clinton.

It's Clinton or nothing

I HEARD Jesse Jackson Jr. speaking, and it didn't sound like he thought very much of Al Gore's ability to lead the nation. He said a vote for impeachment would be a vote to impeach Social Security, health care and all the good things. Also it didn't speak very well of himself and all the other congressmen and senators in the Democratic Party either if everything hinges on Bill Clinton.
