To the editor:My brother and I were raised to vote the Democratic ticket, and we grew up hearing that the Democratic Party was the poor man's party. It's not that way anymore. It is the liberal party under the controlling thumbs of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and the Clintons.
I consider myself a conservative Democrat, and as such I cannot jump on the bandwagon for Sen. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. I am afraid they will be yes men to Kennedy, Kerry and other liberals.
I would like to see the Democratic Party nominate a conservative in 2008, but that won't happen as long as the liberals are holding the reins. As long as conservative Democrats keep their mouths shut like we have been, and the liberals stay in power, I can almost guarantee that the Republican Party will win the 2008 election.
Come on, conservative Democrats. Speak up.
