I'm calling in regard to Teen Challenge. They are a wonderful, wonderful organization. I'm so proud of them. My husband and I are elderly and have to move. We're downsizing. And we had to ask Teen Challenge to come and help us. And the boys that helped us were so wonderful, compassionate, loving and kind. So, whatever they're doing over there, they're doing it right. So please, everybody, help them out, because they need you and some day you might need them. I love them. I'm very proud of them, just as I am Cottonwood. We're very lucky to have them, and I'm one of their prayer disciples from Jackson.
David Limbaugh's columns have always been best when he talks about his faith. It's much more important to have faith in God than it is to worry about politics. Politics is important, but God is more important. And now, David Limbaugh has a new book about faith in Jesus Christ. So, David is really moving in the right direction.
I'm a tax-paying citizen of the United States that happens to be a human being. And what I just read is unbelievable. I read that they commit thousands of partial birth abortions a year, where they take the baby and grab him by the leg, pull him outside of the womb, and then they take wires and a scalpel and cut a slice in his brains, and they do one of two things. They either break his neck, snap his vertebra, or they take a suction and they take a scalpel and they slice a hole in his brain and suck it out with a vacuum cleaner. And they call that abortion. And they say that that's good. Well, it ain't good. It's wrong. God calls it murder.
Could we please trade Obama for England's David Cameron? We'll even throw in California.
I am only a fan of adult slow pitch softball at Shawnee and have no vote in making a selection. However, I think the manager of the year award should go to Todd Bonacki.
I used to see elderly people do this and vowed I'd never do it when I got old. Well, I am now old and, alas, have broken my vow. It is sad, but it does me some good to at least admit that I spend countless hours, day and night, listening to the police scanner.
I like President Obama's publicly undisclosed "keep me guessing" foreign policy. It makes our enemies nervous.
To me, it's a less-than inspiring tribute to U.S. working men and women when you pen a Labor Day piece postulating in so many words that that the union movement once served a good purpose but that organized labor is now no longer needed nor relevant. This, at a time when middle class workers have seen their real wages remain stagnant for the last 40 years and the New Gilded Age is such that it would have made John D. Rockefeller blush.
I think it's ridiculous to start football games this early in the season. It is much too hot. It is too hot for the players, and it's too hot for us old folks to go to the game on a hot day like this. Why don't you wait about three weeks before you start the games? I love football, but I can't stand this heat.
